12 Days of Christmas

It’s hard to believe we are nearly at the end of another year already and what a year we’ve had at Rising Sons. Our on-site microbrewery has been flat out brewing both our core range and 12 seasonal specials this year alone.

Hard work pays off however. At The World Beer Awards in August, Dreamcatcher our seasonal ale was voted World’s Best in the golden ale category , and both Sunbeam Lager and Gráinú Ale Wheat Beer took home gold medals, bringing our golds to 21 since 2015.

We dipped our toes into the spirit world this year , and worked with a small batch gin producer to bring our own gin to the market. Following on from the great response we received, we are going ahead in the New Year to produce our own vodka. We have some great ideas for using both these products in some Rising Sons beer-tails to launch next year. Our brew pub received two great accolades this year also. We were the Munster winner of Innovative Bar of the Year as voted by the VFI and the LVA, and Cork Business Association awarded us Cork’s Best Bar in November.

The festive season is well and truly upon us and it’s great to welcome both people returning home, and new visitors this Christmas. What would Christmas be without a Rising Sons beer at the dinner table? Drop in on the 24 TH , have a drink with us, and pick up a few cans of your favourite beer to enjoy with the turkey ( or nut roast 😉 ) We’ve loaded our advent calendar full of events, and of course we will be showing all the major sports. Stephen’s Day we will be open from 12pm to show all those early games. Our pizza pint deal is available all day from open to close, perfect for those of you, who want to catch a game or who are maybe braving the sales New Year means New Beer and we will be bringing you that in 2020.
